October 10, 2023 Vista Equity Partners and Friends Austin Creating Opportunities in Our Community Since the founding of Friends Austin, Vista Equity Partners(Vista) and its employees have remained one of the organization’s strongest and most consistent supporters. The vision for bringing a chapter of Friends of the Children to the Austin community began in 2017 with Friends Austin Co-Founder Rachel Arnold, a Senior Managing Director at Vista and Co-Head of the firm’s Endeavor Fund, and Friends Austin Co-Founder and Executive Director Nancy Pollard. Arnold brought individuals from the Vista community to support the Austin chapter as founding donors and recruited two of her colleagues to join her as founding members of the Board of Directors. Since then, Vista has continued to provide invaluable support to Friends Austin through monetary donations and strategic advice while serving as the official Presenting Partner of the annual Dinner with Friends fundraising event for the last five years. Vista’s commitment to investing in the Austin community and creating opportunities for the next generation is equally visible at the individual level, where Vista team members have supported Friends Austin by donating their time, talent and resources. Four Vista leaders – Rachel Arnold, Ryan Atlas, Brian Loring and Khalida Ali – currently sit on the Friends Austin Board of Directors. “The data-driven model of Friends of the Children is so clear and concise and powerful.
