DINNER WITH FRIENDS
Friends Austin’s signature spring gathering
Each spring, Dinner with Friends brings together hundreds of Friends Austin supporters for an evening at the Austin Proper Hotel in support of our work with youth and families.
The evening pairs dinner, drinks and entertainment with a closer look at Friends Austin. Guests hear directly from our community, see new stories from youth and professional mentors, and take part in a live auction and fundraising program that helps sustain our long-term commitment to every young person in our program.
Dinner with Friends is designed to be a celebration. Each year brings a new theme and its own surprises, alongside dinner and drinks, entertainment, a live auction and opportunities to support Friends Austin. At the center of the evening is a program that introduces guests to the people and relationships behind our work, including stories shared by Friends Austin youth and their professional mentors.
Why We Dine
An important night for Friends Austin
Dinner with Friends is one of Friends Austin’s largest annual fundraising events. In recent years, guests, sponsors and supporters have contributed more than $1 million in a single evening to help sustain our work with youth and families.
Those funds support Friends Austin’s long-term model of professional mentorship. Each youth is paired one-to-one with a paid, professional mentor called a Friend, with a commitment that lasts 12+ years, no matter what.
