Travanti Strange is a passionate man of God, a committed husband, and an inspiring father. Raised in Dallas, he actively engaged in his community from a young age, channeling his energy into meaningful service. Recognizing the need for guidance among young men and underserved youth, he founded Male Steppers for Christ Inc., a transformative non-profit organization that leverages stepping and music to instill discipline and confidence.
As a proud first-generation college graduate, Travanti earned a bachelor’s degree through a competitive music scholarship at Grambling State University. At GSU, he thrived as a member of the prestigious World Famed Tiger Marching Band, where he showcased his leadership as the tuba section leader and drill sergeant. His dedication to music and leadership also led him to join the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, furthering his commitment to excellence in the arts.
After a successful 10-year career in corporate America, Travanti confidently embraced his true calling: nurturing and developing the next generation. Transitioning to education four years ago, he has made a profound impact as an elementary school teacher, inspiring students to reach their full potential. Married to his wonderful wife Kendra for 11 years, Travanti proudly welcomed their daughter Joi into their family through adoption. With unwavering faith and purpose, he is committed to using his gifts to glorify God and make a lasting impact on today’s youth, one student at a time.
