Sheila is a community development professional with four years of experience in program management in the non-profit industry. She is passionate about collaborating with organizations to create impactful change with internal and external partnerships. Her experience includes working with DC Credit Union to advance youth banking and safe banking for migrants in the DC metro area. She is a two-time AmeriCorps VISTA who worked to advance financial empowerment and increase fundraising efforts for affordable housing in Washington DC.
She is a 2022 graduate of the Cornell University Professional Certificate program in project management. She has a dual bachelor’s degree in international relations and political science from Salisbury University.
In her free time, Sheila enjoys traveling, listening to music, trying new foods, and managing her travel Instagram page at Ms. Nayatravels where she encourages people to travel and try new foods in their communities and abroad.
