Morgan was proudly raised by the forests, mountains, and prairies of Montana. Since then, he has called Spokane, Philadelphia, Oakland, Northern Minnesota, and now Austin home. He joined Friends of the Children because he believes in the power of children and the idea that every young person deserves someone firmly in their corner.
His career has taken him from LGBTQ youth organizations in Spokane to children’s literacy programs across Asia, where he collaborated with writers on Sesame Workshop’s Galli Galli Sim Sim in India and later supported the publishing of local-language children's books in Indonesia, the Philippines, and the Asia-Pacific region through The Asia Foundation’s Let’s Read initiative.
With degrees in Children’s Studies, Human Development, and International Educational Development, Morgan is forever curious about the world.
Outside of work, Morgan is most likely to be found hiking through a forest, climbing a tree, or walking barefoot on a beach with his camera in one hand and binoculars in the other.
