Linda is a native Texan and spent part of her childhood in Minnesota while her hardworking parents - who raised eleven children - worked as migrant laborers in their early years. That foundation instilled in her a strong work ethic and deep appreciation for community.
She is a proud first-generation college graduate from Texas State University where she earned a B.A. in English and had the privilege of studying abroad in Costa Rica, an experience that broadened her global perspective and deepened her commitment to cultural understanding.
With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit work, education, and social services, Linda began her career teaching pre-k and developed a strong commitment to serving marginalized populations and, most recently, refugee families.
Linda is dedicated to empowering and building strong, inclusive support systems. Above all, she is passionate about allowing God to use her as a vessel to serve others. She is the proud mother of three children and has been married to her wonderful husband for over 22 years. In her free time, she loves to travel, volunteer, read and attend concerts.
