Keisha Fulton

Professional Mentor

Keisha is mother to three beautiful children. Motherhood was the shift in her life that directed her to serving youth in underserved communities.

Keisha was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. She wanted her children to grow up in a more diverse community, so she moved her family to the Austin, TX area in 2012.

She has been in the education field for over 20 years with a wide range of experience. She has served as a Head Start teacher and an educational assistant for public schools on both elementary and high school levels. Most recently, Keisha served as a job readiness coach for opportunity youth between the ages of 16-24. Before moving to Austin, Keisha also started a nonprofit that served the youth in her area with summer enrichment programs and a breakfast and lunch food program.

Keisha holds an Associates of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education, is a licensed Registered Behavior Technician, and volunteers with CASA, Travis County. She has always worked to motivate and empower young people and it was only right that her path led her to Friends of the Children Austin.
