Jose Ortiz

Professional Mentor

Jose is originally from Asheboro, North Carolina. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in communications from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Growing up in a close-knit community, he witnessed firsthand the impact that positive role models can have on young lives. This inspired him to dedicate his time and energy to mentoring youth, helping them navigate life’s challenges and reach their full potential.

Jose first channeled his passion for mentorship through soccer, coaching a youth indoor soccer team for a few years. While attending the University of North Carolina Greensboro, Jose also spent five years mentoring in a summer program called CHANCE. And in his most recent role as an admissions counselor at the same university, he worked closely and proactively with students applying to the school, often going above and beyond to assist these students and their families.

Jose’s passion for mentoring is more than just a role—it’s a calling. He continues to inspire and uplift young people in all aspects of life, believing that investing in today’s youth creates a brighter future for everyone. His unwavering commitment to making a difference serves as a testament to the power of mentorship and community support.
