Freddy Vigil-Zavaleta

Program Manager and Professional Mentor

Freddy was born and raised in Austin, Texas to a loving Mexican mother and dedicated El Salvadorian father and is the oldest of four. While enrolled at The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor he was the Head Resident Assistant at an all-male dorm, a campus guide, and a case manager for foster youth. When Freddy graduated in 2018 with his Bachelor of Social Work, he decided to focus his career on the vulnerable youth population in Austin and began to work at the Child Advocacy Center of Travis County. During his time there he conducted over 250 forensic interviews of alleged victims of child abuse and testified in court. Freddy hopes to give back to his community the same way that his community supported him growing up.
