Adrian Cavazos

Professional Mentor

Adrian is a Native to East Austin, originally born in Corpus Christi. Growing up on the East side of Austin, Adrian started his career with youth by participating in PALS during his high school years at East Side Memorial High School. After discovering his passion for serving youth through being a mentor he joined the Thinkery of Austin as an intern for summer programming. Soon after he would join the Boys and Girls Club to serve at-risk youth all over the Austin and Manor areas as a Director of Afterschool programming and other roles. During his time with the Boys and Girls Club, he created various art programs such as the Urban Arts course And created murals around the city with his students. Over the course of 6 years in after-school programming, Adrian always wanted to serve youth in a more personal light. Growing up having a mentor himself helped him find the motivation to reach his full potential and he wanted nothing more for all of his students. He is excited to serve as a Friend and be a positive role model to youth to show them that anything is possible.
