Emily Slingerland

President, Slingerland Family Charitable Fund

Emily Slingerland is President of the Slingerland Family Charitable Fund, which she founded with her husband Brian in 2016 with the aim of advancing opportunities for children and families facing the greatest challenges. The SFCF makes strategic grants internationally and nationally, as well as investing deeply at the local level in Central Texas. They currently partner with more than 40 grantees supporting child welfare, housing, early childhood, education and maternal health. Emily is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the foundation and overseeing its annual grants. She is also Co-Founder and board member of Sheatree Capital, a single-family office providing investment management for the Slingerland family.

Earlier in her career, she held positions in biotech project management at Genentech, and as an Executive Recruiter in healthcare and biotech at Russell Reynolds Associates. Emily holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego. She is also serving on the Board of Directors for CASA of Travis County. She lives in Austin with her four loud and busy children and enjoys traveling and the outdoors.
