Many of the children we serve face obstacles they did nothing to create. For Austin's children of color living in poverty, the odds are steep:
1 in 2 will not graduate high school
1 in 2 will become a teen parent
1 in 5 will become incarcerated
These outcomes are not inevitable. Friends of the Children Austin pairs each child with a professional mentor for 12+ years, providing the consistent support every child deserves.
