A birthday is one of the biggest days in a child's year.
At Friends of the Children Austin, we celebrate more than a decade of birthdays with every child we serve. Along the way, birthdays become milestones that remind our youth they are seen, celebrated, and deeply valued.
One tradition our youth look forward to all year is choosing a gift from our Birthday Gift Closet. They watch the shelves fill with new surprises, talk about their favorites, and eagerly anticipate the day they get to choose a gift of their own.

We're collecting new, unopened gifts for youth ages 5-18, including:
- LEGO® and building sets
- Art and craft supplies
- Books and journals
- Board games and puzzles
- Sports equipment
- STEM and science kits
- Gift cards for older youth
