Amplify Austin 2023

Amplify Austin is a community-wide celebration of giving! We are pleased to participate in this campaign along with many wonderful local nonprofits. Amplify Austin Day takes place from 6 p.m. on March 1 through 6 p.m. on March 2, but early giving is already well-underway! No need to wait, you can click here to give today.

This year, your donations are greatly needed for our Family Emergency Fund which provides crucial and flexible emergency relief for the children and families in our program. Because of the strong and trusting relationships built between our Friends and their families, Friends are often called upon in times when unexpected challenges impact those we serve. These obstacles include assistance with critical issues such as temporary housing and shelter, assistance covering utility expenses, food insecurity, medical needs, and a variety of obstacles.

When we provide temporary support for our families, this gives them time to tap into community resources to create a long-term plan for stability. The ultimate goal is to foster a community of support around the family so they know who to reach out to and trust if/when barriers arise. This alleviates stress on the child, caregiver, household and is an extension of the support and consistency out program model provides.

Last year, $28,000 in funds from the Family Emergency Fund were accessed, and we wish to secure this same level of funding during Amplify Austin for use in the year ahead.
